Background:

Founded in 2015, our company started by supplying skilled steel fixing labour to the piling industry. As demand grew, we broadened our services in 2017 to provide experienced piling operatives nationwide. Building on this success, we further expanded in 2023 to include specialised guide wall and welding services, continuing our commitment to supporting the construction sector with reliable, high-quality labour solutions.

The Aims:

At Acero we wanted to create & build a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and included regardless of their background or identity. We wanted to promote inclusion, improve our performance, enhance employee engagement & further build our client relationships.

What commitment have they shown?

We have used the results of the survey to further develop and embed our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) practices across the business. This includes the introduction of a new FREDIE/Equality & Diversity policy, the rollout of additional EDI training, and the delivery of consistent messaging and toolbox talks on key topics.

We’ve also encouraged more open conversations around diversity within our teams, fostering a more inclusive culture. To support ongoing awareness, a new EDI notice board has been installed in the breakout area, keeping EDI at the forefront of our everyday environment.

Business Impact

It has emphasised to our staff & clients that we take equality, diversity & inclusion seriously & we are constantly looking for ways to improve all aspects of the business.
