The accreditation was fulfilling and informative exercise taking us on a eye opening journey across all areas of ED&I. The process although very focused and detailed was necessary to give ED&I the due diligence that it deserves and to ensure as an organisation we were given the opportunity to truly showcase all that we are doing in this area.

What commitment have they shown?

ED&I is a fundamental part of our business and is the golden thread of the organisation. As a large organisation spanning across both of our networks we are on a continuous journey to drive delver equity, recognise diversity and promote inclusion. We are extremely proud of our accreditation and achievements to date and look forward to making positive strides.

Business Impact

EDI is a mandatory part of all our operations. It is something we aspire to improve year on year and as such have EDI related targets. The diversity of our workforce is a part of our continuing success and we hope to continue to attract and inspire individuals from all walks of life.

What’s next for us

We are extremely proud to have achieved our silver award, however we want to sustain and grow in our positive ED&I practices. Although our report was full of a wealth of recognition and compliments, it also outlined some areas we could focus on to improve. Being authentic in our approach, we want to do the right thing and want to serve the needs of EVERY colleague and EVERY passenger. Combined with our self identified insights and the IiD report we will formulate a 12 month action plan to capitalise on the progress made to date.
