The National Centre for Diversity (NCFD) will be holding its prestigious annual Grand Awards event at the Hotel Ibis, Earl’s Court, London on the 18th January 2018.
The event promises to be a glittering and emotional night of celebration – recognising the sheer hard work of people that work in the country’s best companies in relation to Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement (FREDIE).
The awards will mark the contributions of some of the most inspiring, passionate and brilliant individuals and organisations from across the UK – who work tirelessly every day, to ensure that there is equality of opportunity for all within their organisations.
This year the NCFD have introduced four new award categories: Retailer of the Year, Financial Services Company of the Year, Technology Company of the Year; and Board/ SLT of the Year. Highly coveted awards such as Managing Director/ CEO of the Year and EDI Lead of the Year are also still up for grabs.
During the evening the NCFD will also announce its UK Top 100 Index 2018.
The 2017 winners of the top spot were Huddersfield New College, having jumped a massive 54 places, to reach Number 1 in the Top 100 Index 2017. With reputation, prestige and bragging rights at stake, it remains to be seen if Huddersfield New College can win the coveted position for the second year in a row.
The Top 100 Index is derived from the results of the diagnostic surveys completed by those who have embarked on an accreditation journey with the National Centre for Diversity. The Top 100 Index is also used to determine the winners of the organisational awards, such as UK Housing Provider of the Year as well as the UK Organisation of the Year.
Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity said “The Grand Awards are the best day of the year. It’s so exciting. The butterflies are already fluttering around my stomach and I’m not even up for an award!
Huge congratulations go to those that were nominated and to those that have been shortlisted for one of our awards. The independent judging panel had a difficult task in selecting the winners from the very strong field of nominated people and organisations.”
The event will also feature expert speakers from across the sectors, live entertainment, fantastic food and most importantly of all – the opportunity for those attending to celebrate their passion for diversity and equality for all, with like-minded people.
