THE UK’S TOP 100 companies that make a difference in the workplace and set the bar high for fairness is revealed today.

The much-awaited National Centre for Diversity (NCFD) annual Index covering the UK’s private, public and third sectors, employing thousands of people across the country, celebrates the contributions of the most committed people and organisations which promote Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE).

Now in its fourth year, the Top 100 Index listing is put together as a result of a company survey sent to all employees from companies that work towards the NCFD’s Investors in Diversity or Leaders in Diversity accreditations. An algorithm is then used to benchmark the organisations and compile the Index.

NCFD Chief Executive, Solat Chaudhry, said:

“The inspiring organisations that make the Top 100, demonstrate excellent levels of employee retention and recruitment and clearly demonstrate how they value and respect the people that work for them.

What better than to be recognised by peers and those travelling in the same direction towards the common goal of Fairness in the workplace. It is hugely motivational.”

Huddersfield New College tops the poll for the third year running, to maintain its top position.

“It is an astonishing achievement for Huddersfield New College to attain the top position for the third year in a row. It shows the consummate professionalism and wonderful inclusive leadership qualities of the Senior Management Team.”

Solat Chaudhry commented.

The list was revealed last night at the NCFD’s Grand Awards held at Earls Court, London.
