Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love and passion, so to celebrate our love and passion for what we do, we are launching the Irish Centre for Diversity.
The Irish Centre for Diversity’s aim is to work in partnership with organisations of all types and sizes from across Ireland; to help them to embed good practices around Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE) into workplaces throughout Ireland.
The UK National Centre for Diversity is delighted to team up with Caroline Tyler, who spent 5 years working with the National Centre for Diversity in the UK, to form the Irish Centre for Diversity. Caroline will be taking on the new role of Director for Ireland, with Solat Chaudhry taking on the role as Chair, within the enterprise.
Caroline said “I made a decision a couple of years ago, to relocate back to Ireland and I was pleased to see how much progress Ireland had made in the time I was away. I felt that Investors in Diversity was a perfect tool to complement the work already undertaken by Irish organisations.
I began a series of discussions with the UK’s National Centre for Diversity and the upshot is that from today we will be an independent partner of the UK National Centre for Diversity.”
The Irish Centre for Diversity shares the UK’s National Centre for Diversity mission to advance Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) to ensure fairness for all.
From today the Irish Centre for Diversity is proud to bring the Investors in Diversity Award to Ireland.
Any size of organisation can apply for the Investors in Diversity Award, whether that be Tim Cook’s (or Steve Job’s) Apple or a small family firm selling apples in the local fruit-market.
Our message to businesses, public bodies, charities, Schools and Colleges is that we ready to welcome you to the Irish Centre for Diversity’s ‘Investors in Diversity’ family.
Caroline also said, “from today, we will have the right and privilege to deliver the Investors in Diversity Award in Ireland. Investors in Diversity in Ireland is tailor-made for Ireland and is similar but different to that of the UK. It has been created specifically to meet Irish needs.
I know how the Investors in Diversity Award is thought of in the UK, and so this will come as a welcome boost to organisations of all types in Ireland. I’m just so excited to be working with the National Centre for Diversity again in this new role”.
The whole team at the UK National Centre for Diversity shares Caroline’s excitement, and we look forward to working with the Irish Centre for Diversity in the coming years.
